Message From the President

June, 2011

As Winston Churchill said, “If you have knowledge, let others light their candles with it.”

I believe one of the main purposes of being a member of the Credit Institute is to have the ability to network with other professionals within this career of credit.  If you are a senior level professional, use the Chapter to mentor the beginner and junior level professionals.  If you are just entering this field, please ensure you reach out to the “seasoned” professional for their input and ideas.

The credit world is becoming more complex, and as a chapter we are hoping to provide information and seminars to keep our peers educated and informed.  Receivable Insurance, Electronic Fund Transfers (EFT) and increasing International Sales are but a few of some of the key areas in which everyone should be informed on.  I would like to reach out to all the members and ask them to provide any additional topics which would be of benefit to their fellow members.

I am entering my final year of my term as President Chapter and I look forward to corresponding and meeting as many members as I can.  I want to obtain ideas on how to make this Chapter “top notch” in terms of access to information and the ability to network with your peers.

In closing, I wish to thank the Board of Directors who put their name forward for another term, as well as welcoming Roger McCaie and David Bates back to the board!

See you soon,

Devlin Bruce
