Fellow Members,

Greetings! On behalf of the newly elected Board of Directors of the Atlantic Chapter representing the Credit Institute of Canada. our newly elected board welcomes you to our newly designed website and we are hopeful that you will return to the website from time to time to keep abreast of our Chapter Happenings.

The newly elected board has been very impressive with 100% participation in our first official meeting. Our aim over the next two-year period is to operate with a smaller board of directors and a larger pool of volunteers as outlined in our restructuring plan, which we presented in Dartmouth and Moncton.   At this point, our restructuring plan is on target and we are now in the process of gearing up for our Fall awards banquet & seminar which is tentatively scheduled for October 23rd & 24th in Moncton, NB. Additional details will follow, as information becomes available.

The continuing education programs offered by the Credit Instiute of Canada provide you with the educational tools required to meet and exceed the demands placed on today’s credit professionals.  If you have not yet already enrolled in the Credit Basics or CCP Educational program I would encourage you to do so. For those already enrolled I would encourage you to persevere to complete your program as it is well worth the reward.

Lastly, I would like to encourage those who are not interested in starting or completing the Institute’s educational program to consider supporting our Chapter as a credit professional by joining us as an affiliate member. A full outline of the benefits of an affiliate member will be soon made available on our website. In the interim you can contact me directly and I will provide you with an overview of the benefits of affiliate membership.

Our Chapter needs your support as a student, affiliate member, designate member and/or volunteer. My personal aim over the next two years is to significantly increase our membership and to provide more benefit for our current and New members and students. Your feedback is always welcome!

Regards,

Paul J Cyr, CCP
Atlantic Chapter President
