City Tour, Guided tour of the Permanent Collection of the National Gallery of Canada and lunch.
The day will begin with your professional tour guide introducing the group to Ottawa aboard a luxury motorcoach and giving a 2 hour city tour. Now sit back, enjoy and learn about the Rideau Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Supreme Court of Canada and other national landmarks as they come to life. Featured sites include the Canadian War Museum, the Canadian Museum of Civilization, 24 Sussex Drive, the Prime Minister’s Residence built in 1867 and Rideau Hall, home to the Governor General of Canada. After the tour enjoy lunch at the Courtyard Restaurant, in the historic Byward Market.
09:30 - Depart Hotel for start of 2.5-hour City Tour
10:00 - Guided tour of the Permanent Exhibit of the National Gallery of Canada with time in the boutique
11:30 - Depart for lunch at the Courtyard Restaurant
12:00 - Lunch at the Courtyard Restaurant
13:30 - Continue City Tour
15:30 - Arrive at Hotel – end of service.

Ottawa River Cruise, lunch in the heart of the Gatineau Hills followed by drive through the picturesque Gatineau Park to visit the Mackenzie King Estate.

Enjoy a triple-decker boat cruise along the Ottawa River, where both shores of this picturesque river afford stunning views. See the wonderful sites of the Capital from the River perspective. Highlights include the Parliament Buildings, Supreme Court of Canada, the Canadian Museum of Civilization, the National Gallery of Canada, the magnificent Rideau Falls, the Residence of the Prime Minister of Canada and much more.
11:30 - Board waiting Motor Coach for lunch in the Gatineau Hills
12:00 - Lunch at Les Fougères with time in the restaurant’s boutique shop that sells many local unique items.
Restaurant Les Fougères is situated in the magnificent Gatineau Hills. Their critically acclaimed cuisine is executed by the chef/proprietors and their team and it showcases the best regional produce available. The menu changes with the seasons and the wine list is chosen carefully to complement menu choices.
Throughout the four seasons, Les Fougères offers lovely views across the garden and back into a beautiful maple wood. Our dining room is warmly accented with pine and its country elegance includes a huge fireplace faced with local granite and a large screened verandah for summer dining.
13:30 - Board your awaiting coach for a picturesque drive through the magnificent Gatineau Hills to the Mackenzie King Estate.

Enjoy a stroll through the grounds of the Estate. The Mackenzie King Estate is known for its gardens and grounds. King modelled his property on an English country estate, taking enormous efforts to ensure that every aspect was perfect. Formal gardens grace the lawns of Moorside while rock gardens almost disappear into the woods. Perhaps the most fascinating aspect of the Estate is the "ruins" stone architectural features that King erected on his property. These pieces were designed to beautify the landscape, to frame views and to provide areas for rest and contemplation.
