12:00 - Lunch at Les Fougères with time in the restaurant’s boutique shop that sells many local unique items.

Restaurant Les Fougères is situated in the magnificent Gatineau Hills. Their critically acclaimed cuisine is executed by the chef/proprietors and their team and it showcases the best regional produce available. The menu changes with the seasons and the wine list is chosen carefully to complement menu choices.

Throughout the four seasons, Les Fougères offers lovely views across the garden and back into a beautiful maple wood. Our dining room is warmly accented with pine and its country elegance includes a huge fireplace faced with local granite and a large screened verandah for summer dining.

13:30 - Board your awaiting coach for a picturesque drive through the magnificent Gatineau Hills to the Mackenzie King Estate.

Enjoy a stroll through the grounds of the Estate. The Mackenzie King Estate is known for its gardens and grounds. King modelled his property on an English country estate, taking enormous efforts to ensure that every aspect was perfect. Formal gardens grace the lawns of Moorside while rock gardens almost disappear into the woods. Perhaps the most fascinating aspect of the Estate is the "ruins" stone architectural features that King erected on his property. These pieces were designed to beautify the landscape, to frame views and to provide areas for rest and contemplation.
