Keeping Up to Date with Bankruptcy and Insolvency Issues
Below are a few easy ways of keeping up to date on news from the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy (OSB):
- Subscribe to receive updates of postings on the OSB website in the following areas: directives and circulars, legislative amendments, professional conduct decisions or conservatory measures, and insolvency statistics.
- Subscribe to the RSS (Really Simple Syndication) Feed for Insolvency Statistics to receive monthly, quarterly and annual reports, including the new quarterly report relating to Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA) proceedings.
- Consult the Highlights of New Legislation or the Legislative Amendments web pages to refresh your knowledge of changes to the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act that came into effect on September 18, 2009.
- Visit the CCAA web page — it describes the process from the point of view of a creditor.
- Consult CCAA Records to keep abreast of companies that have been granted protection under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act. The OSB has been maintaining a public record since September 18, 2009.
