Ladies – Gentlemen
Education is "The Key" to success. It was l5 years ago when we decided to re-establish The Ottawa Chapter in order to provide educational opportunities to those engaged in the profession of Credit and Collections. We felt that it was important for Credit Professionals to be on "top of their game", to network and to share industry knowledge and experiences. As a chapter, we would offer educational seminars as well as provide formal courses of study (Credit Basics and The FCI educational Program through the Credit Institute of Canada. On the seminar front I believe we have done very well. Participation in formal courses of study however has been somewhat inconsistent and we can only attribute that to the fact that Ottawa does not have a strong manufacturing base nor is it overwhelmed with Head Offices. We have made inroads however with several Crown Corporations and that is a plus. We are very conscious of the fact however that with out your support we would not have been successful. We are I believe the only association in The Ottawa Region providing Credit Industry seminars on a fairly consistent basis and we will continue to do so in the future.
Thank you once again for your support and we will be back in June 07 with the first seminar in our New Year.
